EXCITING NEWS!

We produced a series of short videos featuring our own local talent! This special project is the brain-child of Matt Roth and Kate Kading. Thanks to Richard Janzen @ RJC High School for recording and editing. HUGE shout out to Kate for many volunteer hours spent in production, and Crystal Klassen for organizing.

the joy has to be there

How do we connect with the vast majority of people who have no connection to the farm?

It's an important task that Eldon is passionate to share about!

Current challenges

What do you think the Ag Industry's biggest challenges are?

Value Added Process

What's your favourite local food/beverage and where do you get it? Our area produces and exports more food than you can shake a….fork at! Today Matt Enns of @makers malt highlights the value added process to grain grown right in our backyard.

we are growing food

Ian Epp showcases how the scientific, artistic and nerdy all belong in the agriculture world.

Soil Science and Structure

Can you remember anything you learned from your science teacher? In this video Eric Yoder connects science and soil.

Care for the Land

What is your favourite thing to do out in nature? Farmer's work is a lifestyle dependant on nature. Brian & Delilah Roth, Eldon Funk and Matt Hildebrandt discuss caring for the land and critters.

thank a local farmer!

Emily Hand's urban farm may be mini, but her passion for ag awareness is mighty! Think of all the things you used today that involved agriculture to produce, from food and clothing to cosmetics and crayons. Everyone is involved in ag!

support your local producer

Support local has never been more trendy, or more relied upon than during this pandemic. What local businesses and producers do you have in your area?

why agriculture? Part 2

Spending time in a multi-generational setting is a real privilege! What is some advice that your parents or grandparents taught you?

why agriculture? Part 1

How do you make the most of your time with your kids and grandkids? Most people can’t take them to work, but often in agriculture, you get to bring them along for the ride. What a treat!

Farming That Inspires

What is your favorite subject to talk about? Get into a conversation with farmers you will talk all-farming, all the time. Not that that’s a bad thing!

That’s A Good Day

If you could share one moment from your farm with someone who has never been to a farm before, what would it be? Eldon’s got us #InTheFeels talking about how much he loves his job.

A PASSION FOR AGRICULTURE

Our settler's faith background, hardworking heritage and the soil itself is in our bones. What makes you proud to be from Saskatchewan? What does agriculture mean to you?

LAND OF PLENTY

There's plenty of reason to be proud of Saskatchewan, the commodities we produce and the people who grow them.

Agricultural Innovation

Ostriches?

What ag innovations have most impressed you throughout history? From ostriches to urban mini-farms to large-scale cattle operations, our valley area offers diverse opportunities in agriculture. (But seriously! Who was the first guy to say "hey, let's bring ostriches to Sask?!)
